Every year on the last weekend in September, the Gailtal valley in Carinthia is all about cheese! For over 25 years, the Cheese Festival has been held in Kötschach-Mauthen at the festival grounds in and around the town hall. The culinary highlight is the Gailtaler Almkäse g.U. The Cheese Festival is one of Carinthia’s biggest food festivals and an agricultural show.
